Membership passes 5000

On Saturday 6th September the South West Coast Path Association welcomed its 5000th member.

Jill Fletcher of Portishead is a native of Kent. She and her family often came to Cornwall for their holidays. She is no stranger to long-distance walks having tackled some in New Zealand. Of the South West Coast Path Jill says: I've always known about it but time has not allowed me to tackle it seriously. Things have changed slightly and I can look forward now to more Coast Path days.

The Association marked the occasion with a presentation to Jill at the South West Coast Path marker on the sea front at Minehead. Ian Liddell-Grainger, MP for Bridgwater (West Somerset) presented Jill with a commemorative certificate and items of the Association's souvenirs.
